Project Asst. Prof. Kodaka et al. won the "Best Paper Award" at ICA-SYMP 2021

On January 21, 2021, the paper which revealed an influence of government interventions against COVID-19 on controlling of economic activities by using satellite data won the Best Paper Award at the 2nd International Symposium on Instrumentation, Control, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics (ICA-SYMP 2021) held at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok during January 20-21, 2021 (By online due to COVID-19 outbreak). The research has been conducted by Professor Naohiko Kohtake, Project Assistant Professor Akira Kodaka, and Mr. Yasushi Onda from Sensing & Design Lab (Kohtake laboratory), and Assistant Professor Natt Leelawat, and Dr. Jing Tang from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.  The research is supported by the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development Program by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
