Financial Aid (Scholarship) for International Students
There are a number of scholarship programs available. Most scholarships can be applied for after enrollment, but there are some that can be applied for before enrollment, such as “the Keio Design the Future Award for International Students”, “Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship Program”, “Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship” and “MEXT G30 program scholarship”. Scholarships available before admission
Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program(ADB-JSP)
(Master’s program only)
Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) is for students who wish to enter master’s program and return to home country immediately after completion of master's programs. Applicants need to apply during application period II or III 2011 and enroll in September 2012. At least two years of full-time professional working experience prior to the application is required. The scholarship covers roundtrip airfare, the admission fee and tuition, and gives a monthly stipend equivalent to that of the Japanese Government Scholarship for a maximum of 2 years. Please note that the applicant must be no more than 35 years old at the time of application. And nationality is limited to ADB borrowing member countries.

Keio "Design the Future" Award for International Students (Master’s program only)
Keio University was founded by Yukichi FUKUZAWA in 1858 as the first modern institution of higher education in Japan. To commemorate the university's 150th anniversary in 2008, Keio has launched the "Design the Future" Award for International Students. This scholarship, aimed at highly talented international students with outstanding academic records, is possibly the most generous available from a Japanese university. International students with the drive to become global leaders in academia, business, and public services are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity.
This scholarship covers full tuition and fees at Keio University, monthly stipend of 200,000yen, and a one time preparation grant of JPY 150,000 (including travel subsidy).
Five awards given each year. Scholarship duration is two years.
Graduate School of SDM selects students from applicants who have the potential to “design the future.” Students who have already successfully passed the SDM admission will also be selected by the Graduate School for the scholarship application. Applicants will receive information from SDM at the beginning of February.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Students (Embassy Nominated Students)
Applicants who wish to enroll in Keio University through the Japanese Government Scholarship scheme should contact the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General where you live at first. For further information, see the website of the International Center below.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Students (University Nominated Students)
“Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Students” (University Nominated Students) is mainly offered to exchange students from abroad based on interuniversity agreements such as student exchange agreements. Keio University selects and nominates grantee candidates to MEXT. The scholarship will be payable for a period necessary for a grantee to complete his/her regular course from October 2012. Under the fiscal 2011 budget each grantee is provided monthly with 154,000 yen. Traveling costs to and from Japan are also provided.
Keio SDM will nominate appropriate a candidate from successful applicants who expect to enroll in AY2012. Please refer to the following link for details.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Students (GLOBAL 30) (University Nominated Students)
Under the Global 30 Program “Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Students” (University Nominated Students) is offered to exchange students from abroad based on interuniversity agreements such as student exchange agreements. Keio University selects and nominates grantee candidates to MEXT. The scholarship will be payable for one year from either April or October 2012. (The period may not be extended.) Under the fiscal 2011 budget each grantee is monthly provided with approximately 200,000 yen. Traveling costs to and from Japan are also provided.
Keio SDM will nominate appropriate candidates from successful applicants who expect to enroll in AY2012.
Financial Aid (Scholarship) for all Graduate School students
Graduate Schools of Keio University can provide scholarships to students who are willing to learn but are unable to finance their studies such as Japan Student Services Organization and Keio Graduate School Scholarship.
