Prof. Toshiyuki Yasui won Best Paper Award by The Japan Society of Competitive Intelligence

The Japan Society of Competitive Intelligence awarded Prof. Toshiyuki Yasui "2010 Best Paper Award" on September 18. The Japan Society of Competitive Intelligence is the only society in Japan to research the application of intelligence in business competitiveness and other aspects.  The Best Paper Award is awarded annually, and the paper won this year was by Prof. Yasui "Introduction of Competitive Intelligence to Japanese Professional Sports: Quantitative Assessment with AHP Regarding Motives and Preferences" featured in 2010 edition of "Intelligence Management," the society journal. In the ceremony, Prof. Tetsuo Kashima, board member of the society, praised the paper for its novelty of applying CI in professional sports, the effectiveness of application in other industries, also objectiveness to apply quantitative engineering method including Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP.)
