Professor Yoshiaki Ohkami was named an "Expert of Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)" by the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE, an international academic association for systems engineering) on February 1, 2010. ESEP is the highest title in the field, awarded only to those who have achieved significant results in both the practice and pedagogy of systems engineering. There are currently 17 in the world. Professor Ohkami is the first and only to receive the award in Asia.
