Research Areas

Yoshiyuki Suimon specializes in the mathematical and data-driven analysis of human and corporate behavior, capturing the dynamics of economic activities and social phenomena. By integrating key principles from machine learning, statistics, finance theory, macroeconomics, and econometrics, he seeks to uncover the underlying mechanisms shaping social, economic, and financial systems. In addition to quantitative methods, he incorporates qualitative approaches such as literature reviews, discussions, and field research to develop a more comprehensive understanding of these complex systems.

Biography

Yoshiyuki Suimon graduated from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University in 2005. He earned an M.S. from the University of Tokyo in 2007, an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2013, and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2021. At Nomura Securities, he served as a Senior Economist and Head of the Data Science Department. In 2025, he joined Keio SDM. He has also been a part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Public Policy and a collaborative researcher at its Graduate School of Engineering.
