Project Senior Assis. Prof. Nishino et al. won the "Best Paper Award for Young Professionals" at the Institute of Social Safety Science
On November 16-17, 2024, the paper which evaluated the effectiveness of a disaster management human resource development program based on System Thinking and Design Thinking, designed to improve the local community's mutual aid ability, through a workshop at a junior high school in Kohoku-ku, Yokohama City, won the Best Paper Award for Young Professionals at the 55th research conference of Institute of Social Safety Science held at the Shizuoka Prefecture Disaster Preparedness Center.
This research has been conducted by professor Naohiko Kohtake, Project Senior Assistant Professor Akihiko Nishino and others from Sensing & Design Lab (Kohtake laboratory). The research is supported by the collaboration agreement between the Graduate School of System Design and Management and Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City.
