Julie Ann Delda, a second-year master's student, received the Effort Award at the 2024 FALIA Essay Competition. The awards ceremony was held by the Foundation for the Advancement of Life Insurance in Asia (FALIA) at Hibikoku Conference Square in Tokyo, Japan, on January 24, 2025. Julie Ann Delda was recognized and awarded an Effort Award for her essay titled "From Clicks to Coverage: What Google Searches Reveal about Life Insurance in the Philippines". Since 2014, FALIA has been organizing an essay competition for international students attending universities in Japan.

A total of 75 essays on topics related to life insurance were submitted by international students from 27 countries. FALIA awarded 14 students from 8 different countries, including Sri Lanka, Ghana, Indonesia, Singapore, China, the Philippines, Mauritius, and Kenya.
Guests at the ceremony included professors from the award winners' universities, representatives from embassies, executives from Dai-ichi Life, and other members from related institutions, along with members of the selection committee. Award winners presented their essays during the event.
