The paper by Project Assoc. Prof. Kodaka and colleagues received the Best Paper Award at ISCIT 2024
At the 23rd International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies (ISCIT 2024), held from September 23-25, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, a research paper analyzing the temporal patterns of socio-economic activities in industrial complexes using Earth Observation data was awarded the Best Paper Award. This research was a collaborative effort by Project Associate Professor Akira Kodaka and Professor Naohiko Kohtake from the Sensing and Design Lab. (Kohtake Laboratory), and Associate Professor Natt Leelawat from Chulalongkorn University, who also serves as a Guest Associate Professor at our university. The study builds on the outcomes of the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS), a joint program by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
