[Event Cancellation] Design a career assistance support system for top Japanese athletes as an Olympic intangible legacy

Title Design a career assistance support system for top Japanese athletes as an Olympic intangible legacy
Overview You are invited to join us in finding a way to design and develop a career assistance support system for Japanese Olympians and other top athletes at their athletic retirement. The countries who have hosted major sports events such as Olmpics and World cups designed or reconstructed their career assistance programs at the time of the events. As Tokyo 2020 approaches, it is our time to act. Considering the development of an assistance support system, it is critically important that we understand the athletes' gender, sport types, and their needs at the retirement and then design an adequate system based on a Japanese culture, an educational system and job prospects in the Japan market.
At this symposium, you will have the opportunity to learn and discuss ways to implement a successful career assistance support system in Japan. There will be a series of lectures provided by specialists including Professor David Lavallee from Scotland, who will present the findings of his research into the retirement of top athletes and the psychological impact that retirement has.
Join us for the half-day symposium, and learn how you can make a positive impact and assist retiring athletes!
