経歴

1961年神奈川県生まれ。東京大学教養学部卒業（広域システム科学・学術博士）。国立環境研究所・地球環境研究センター・主席研究員を経て現職。国際学術プログラムFuture Earth（GCP）の国際オフィス代表、国連気候変動パネル（IPCC）代表執筆者、日本学術会議連携会員（環境）などを20年間歴任。気候変動対策、生態系サービス評価、土地利用―交通システム、都市の都市持続可能性に関する環境省やJST等の研究プロジェクトを推進中。国際応用システム分析研究所（IIASA）、統計数理研究所、東京大学他で客員教授も併任。
