Ro Jin-Wook graduated from McCallie High School, Tennessee, USA in 2004 and obtained a B.S. in Operation Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University, NY, USA in 2009. He had a summer internship experience at Compaq Computers Inc. in Seoul Korea (2004).
He chose to study in Japan at Keio University, SDM because he wants to learn Japan’s well known, superior operations systems and mechanical systems. Also, he wanted to experience a different style of education compared to the United States. So far, the experiences have been great and eye-opening.
His research topic is “Design for Manufacturing by Cost Worth,” which will cover how a product needs to be designed focusing on cost aspects. He is also interested in “Study Systems through Mobile Phones”. The goal of this research is to establish a cost-free study system using mobile smart phones that is efficient and broad.
SDM enables students to realize our ideas! Many people have ideas, but few turn that idea to something real. Studying at SDM systematically guides you through this process. SDM is a very pleasurable atmosphere for study and provides access to a vast spectrum of research fields so students can realize their intentions. Also, because the students and professors are from diverse backgrounds, it is an opportunity to collaborate and to achieve their goals and to create new ones.
