概要/Summary アメリカ西海岸の著名なスポーツビジネススクールであるサンフランシスコ大学のNola Agha先生よりスポーツのシステムデザインについて講義いただきます。スポーツイベントのデザインプロセスについて再考することによるリデザインの提案や、経済学の視点から見たスポーツのシステムデザインの特徴についての講義とディスカッションを行います。
世界的なスポーツイベントは、実行するのに何十億ドルもの計画と費用がかかります。 その結果、これらのイベントの費用は主に地域社会が負担し、経済的利益は主に民間企業に生じます。そして、これらのイベントを主催することに対する世界的な関心は著しく低下してしまうのです。 この講義では、スポーツイベントを受け入れる地域コミュニティが経済的および財政的な悪影響を回避するにはどのような方法があるのか体系的な解決策に焦点を当てていきます。
講義・質疑応答はすべて英語で行われますのでご承知おき下さい。（部分的に日本語による補足説明を行います）

Worldwide sporting events take years to plan and cost billions of dollars to execute. As a result, three key issues arise: the cost of these events are primarily borne by local communities, financial gains primarily accrue to private enterprise, and there is a marked decrease in global interest to host these events. This lecture focuses on systematic solutions to these problems with an emphasis on how local host communities can avoid negative economic and financial consequences.
