概要 | “It’s too complex”, “it’s just technology and tooling”, “I’m drawing the diagrams”, “I can’t change now”, “it will solve all our problems”. These are some of the many misconceptions as individuals and organizations assess model-based systems engineering. While most organizations have completed pilot efforts, the transformation is far from complete. Teams continue to encounter confusion and to err when evaluating and deploying MBSE. This both complicates the transformation and reduces its impact.
This tutorial provides a primer to the foundational concepts of MBSE. Whether you are working in the conceptual design phase to better understand and define mission and system requirements or in the system design phase to establish and verify the system architecture, this tutorial will demonstrate the role and value of model-based approaches. The focus will be on understanding the problem and solution domain, enhancing understanding and communication amongst the design team and the stakeholders, and satisfying the system need. Through discussions of the fundamental concepts, we will maintain our focus upon the true deliverables – the system itself and overall project success. By the end of the tutorial, participants will understand:
